And, I, honestly, couldn't care about boxing, either.

His genre, truly, is not my cup of tea.

That said, I don't like the romantic comedies my female friends DO seem to love.

I like thrillers, psyco-dramas, documentaries and well-done comedies (not "poop joke" comedies).

I would not say that I am THAT young at 36 but I would say Eastwood is more an actor my parents really like. I would say for me, I would rather watch John Cusack, Matt Damon, or Christian Bale. I will say that Eastwood has directed some great movies.

Hey, we have Eva Longoria coming to our convention! At least she looks better. Might get my husband to actually watch the RNC with me.

He's actually a quite brilliant filmmaker. He's better at that than acting, IMO.

Also, he's quite moderate in his views. He was against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, he's pro-choice, supports marriage equality and is a fan of Chomsky. Now, you'd think he'd be a lefty lib just by those views alone.

From what I have read the reason he endorsed McCain was because they've been friends going as far back as the 70's after McCain's time in the POW camp. He's friend with Rmoney, too. It tells me he is loyal to his friends.

The speech tonight will probably be tailored to reach out to moderates and undecideds. I don't expect Eastwood to slam Obama...maybe a few negative words at most. It'll mostly be praise for Rmoney, IMO.

Just my two cents.

He's not for taxing the wealthy, which was one of the things he and Ronald Reagan agreed on. Since he's wealthy, at least we can say he believes in voting his own better interest. It could be worse.

He's always been a Republican I thought, didn't he even run for mayor as a Republican once?

Tonight I imagine he's going to be touting his dislike of federal regulations and taxes. Two of his pet peeves. Neither of which takes away from the fact that you, and millions of others, enjoy his acting.

He's still the same person he was yesterday, and the day before that. He's just pimping him some Republican candidates.

You'd think the larger issues would matter more than a few pet issues. However, not everyone is wired to see things that way. It is what it is.

Maybe, the Romney person who leaked this lied to FOX, even. It could still turn out to be Tim Tebow.

Some people get rich and are thankful for their good fortune and they happily share it with others, and devote themselves to causes that advance the human condition.

Other people get rich and worry about how to keep and grow their fortune, and are resentful of needy people who might make them feel guilty for having a fortune.

They give the minimum in "charity" to take as a deduction, or to assuage their feelings of guilt, but if they are in the wrong place mentally as far as their greed goes, they'll never get right.

They're desperate to appeal to pissed off poor whites--they think they'll be stupid enough to overlook the corporate fucking they'll get from this party because they'll be too busy cheering on the race-hating, tough guy bullshit.

Is rMoney stupid, though? He's going to juxtapose himself with Eastwood? There will be comparisons made in people's minds. I wouldn't have put both speeches on the same night.
