4. The Democrats are moving faster towards impeachment than I expected.

I had predicted that we'd reach the halfway mark by Friday. This is two days early...

It doesn't guarantee impeachment, but it's a welcome signal. Expect more pitiful noise from a certain spoiled rich man who has failed at all his businesses – and could do so because he had a $400 million safety net from his (immigrant!) father.

5. An impeachment inquiry IS underway - right now

Chairman Nadler has declared this in his filings to the DC Court on Friday. People are looking for a big formal resolution of the House but that is not going to happen. All the same powers a formal resolution would grant to the Judiciary Committee, were given to them on July 11, by HR 430

The vote count is for Representatives who are prepared to vote for articles of impeachment ... ie to impeach the president
