How about "TriCare-For-All"?
It would sure cut down on the private sector gouging the shit out of us.
Plus it would blow the minds of right-wing military folks who rail against "government takeover" of healthcare as they receive care themselves from government employed doctors (hypocritical).

(17,001 posts)Military love it. It has a higher compensation rate than Medicare. It doesnt have the negative connotation the Medicare has. It is set up with different tiers already so it would be easy to add a public sector to it.
We need to go beyond mere insurance.

(271 posts)I don't pay anything and the VA gives you all the tests you need because their costs for even an MRI is almost nothing.

(111,078 posts)We need a public option to compete with the high priced pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies. "Competition" is highly regarded in all political persuasions. We should discuss Medicare-for-All as competition in the healthcare marketplace.
