(25,841 posts)If you avoided every place that had one mass shooting you'd really not be able to leave your home.
Of course, I'd encourage you never to shop at Walmart in the first place. Donate money directly to those Republicans you want to support; don't let the Walton family decide for you.

(22,566 posts)"The lifetime risk of dying in a mass shooting is around 1 in 110,154 about the same chance of dying from a dog attack or legal execution."
"People are far more likely to be the victim of a property crime or a very traditional street crime than they are to be the victim of an incident of mass violence or terrorism, Joseph Schafer, Ph.D., a professor of criminal justice at Southern Illinois University, told Healthline."
Yes, this is horrible, but the reality is that guns are not going anywhere. When it comes to gun violence, you can run but there's nowhere to hide because it can happen in the most blue or red state.
My state of Wisconsin has one of the most lax drunk driving penalties in the nation and I'm far more worried about being killed by a drunk driver than a mass shooting and DWI fatalities are just as tragic and even bloody in snatching innocent people from life with no warning.
So we should do what we can to confront gun violence, but frankly after Sandy Hook with all of those little kids gunned down and murdered in their school--if that didn't outrage America and cause a real change about guns, what will?
