In 1963, Ferrari built four 330 LMBs, a GT race car meant to hit the track at Le Mans. All four still exist and are each worth nearly $15 million.
One of the cars, chassis number 4619, is owned by the Korean Chairman of Samsung Electronics, Kun Hee Lee.
But there's just one problem: Some records show the car was stolen in 1977 and there's a court order in the U.S. demanding that the car be returned.

(2,715 posts)You'd think Kung Hee Lee would just buy a six-pack of officials, and call it a day.

(33,688 posts)have a way of getting "misplaced" every so often, like old paintings and sculptures. There was a Bugatti Royale (one of seven, IIRC, and worth millions) that disappeared for decades as well.
I suspect that the fellow in Atlanta is in fact the rightful owner, though Lee may have bought the car in good faith.

(1 post)he should get his money back from those that arranged the sale of the car to him...Blackhawk Museum / Williams if the story is correct... it is illegal to sell stolen property... and get out of this mess...
it appears the car is in hiding or may have been shipped out of the country on forged documents ( forged export documents are a federal offence )... the conspiracy thickens if Chairman Lee continues on... laws are being broken if this continues on...
