We are becoming a police state.
We have no privacy any more. Everything is on computers. There are cameras everywhere.
Scary stuff.
I find myself staying home a lot more.

(4,157 posts)A little over a year ago I had bronchitis that landed me in the hospital for 3 days. I had my phone with me when doctors quizzed me about asbestos exposure. When I told my son about it I had my phone with me. Even when I said that was ruled out, a week later I had two phone messages about signing on to asbestos lawsuits. Either they had access to my medical records (doubtful) or the asbestos word triggered a series of algorithms.
This was just my experience, but terribly freaky.

I don't put any financial information out there. I do use Facebook to keep in touch with my family and friends.
It seems like the whole world has access to my contacts.
If I look up info on products I always start getting multiple ads from all sorts of companies.
I am even careful what I say in the phone.

(4,157 posts)I want to say 5,000 but I think that is too low.
I pay cash for a lot of stuff just so I don't leave a financial trail and I use the incognito search for a lot of searches, especially medical.
