While a more adept, traditional politician might use this weekend as a way to finally advocate for serious gun control reform and/or a denouncement of bigoted extremism, this is Donald Trump.

We know at a very minimum the El Paso shooter was mimicking Trump’s exact rhetoric.

In Trump’s maliciously narcissistic mind, that’s an homage. That’s a tribute. He has praised the great Donald and he is psychologically incapable of denouncing that in good, honest faith.

He owns this, and secretly, he’s very proud he owns it.
