Even though Manson did not physically commit the crimes, he was the master mind. Vincent Bugliosi used a rule that made Manson as guilty as those who committed the crimes. I read the book but cannot remember at this moment what the rule was, but he used the same rule when he wrote a book titled "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" where he set the blueprint for any Attorney General to follow and prosecute Bush, Chaney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice, and all the people who were involved in the invasion of Iraq.
I wonder if the same law can be used against the creature because although he has not master minded the crimes committed in El Paso and in Ohio, he has incited people to do it. Remember in his rallies when he offered people to go violent that he would pay their legal fees? Well, they are taking him on his words.
