I was born and raised in Dayton. I use to spend a lot of time in the Oregon district.

It is an old neighborhood with lot’s of Victorian homes that were remodeled and sold to young professionals. The bars are old also. They were remodeled also to attract the young professionals.

It was what was called an urban renewal project.

I left OH and moved to Los Angeles because the state was turning conservative. I have family and classmates there who also turned conservative.

When a tornado went through the area not long ago I posted on Facebook that I hoped everyone was safe. Most of my OH friends said they were safe.

I did the same because of the shooting. I haven’t gotten a single reply. I don’t know why but it seems strange that they won’t speak about it to me.
