for the joke value. As Cenk remarked the whole RNC platform is a lie so all they can do is get up and lie because they can't tell the truth without destroying the whole platform. Even low information voters get it when they are being lied to because so much of what is being said is nonsensical and sounds like bad fiction.

My point was that private schools will work for those that can afford them (inc. church schools) and the public system will be pillaged. And that will be horrible.

say that safety nets such as social security and medicare/medicaid should be abolished (no surprise there) and that services provided by them should be covered by charities and local churches (for example, there have been a couple of local church-run fundraisers for ill people with not enough insurance where I used to live). That's what my comment meant. I didn't mean large, church-run schools. I meant churches providing only the basics of literacy, mathematics and science.

Sorry for the confusion, I can get that way when I get snarky.

I have a friend who has worked had Staples for years. The poor employees have had to take all kinds of pay cuts and benefit cuts while loading down the employees with ridiculous demands.
