How come when Trump reads a prepared

statement from a teleprompter he continually sniffs. But he doesn't when he rambles on and on at one of his Nurnberg ralleys. Do they medicate him for reading or is he on coke at his rallies.

Microphone placement can cause the sniffles? Control-Z Aug 2019 #6
No--the poster means we HEAR it during a speech because of the microphone, but tblue37 Aug 2019 #10

So he's almost sounding out the words when he gives a speech. When he's on a rant, well, making sense doesn't matter to his fans, so he gets all loose and easy. He makes no sense, and gets vicious, but it all flows, kind of like diarrhea.

It’s a delay tactic. While he’s sniffing he gives himself an extra moment to read the words, which he no doubt is seeing for the first time.

He probably finds reading from a teleprompter to be stressful because it's unlikely that he read the speech beforehand and is therefore reading it for the first time.

From most reports its unlikely he's read much of anything aside from McDonald's wrappers and golf cards for months... reading off the teleprompter must be like being a 2nd grader giving a book report.

It might be worse at times if he has allergies or something.

It continues to be odd, of course. *sniff*

Damn, if that ain't one of the weirdest things I've learned in a very long time.

that he is always doing it, even when we can't hear it.

I think, though, that he sniffs because he hoovers up some drug before each speech he gives.

The sniffles are a manifestation of his anxiety. So is heavy breathing.
