Trump has mentioned mental illness 20 or 30 times as the cause of mass shootings.
Not one, not one 'journalist' mentioned he signed the law that makes it easier
for mentally ill people and fugitives to get guns.
NOT ONE !!!
Spineless useless cowards.
Now he just referred to crazy people having guns.

(10,533 posts)a) Give Rs the benefit of the doubt even when doing so requires suspending absurd levels of disbelief
b) Never call Rs on their hypocrisy to their face
c) Cast doubt and uncertainty on the motives of Ds whenever possible
d) I am fucking sick of it.
This country is being eaten from within and the 'journalist' are aiding and abetting
this countries demise.
P.S. Your post is spot on.
I have lots of issues with Twitter as a platform, but it has been beneficial is as a direct channel to pundits and journalists who traffic in false equivalencies and double-standards for Rs and Ds. They are finally getting pushback from our side after years of kowtowing to conservatives.
Our side needs to start calling them out on the air, too -- the same way that Rs spread their bogus "liberal media" charge over the years so that pundits and journalists would overcompensate in Rs' favor to avoid appearing biased against conservatives.

on edit: The media will make money even if we go fascist. In fact, somewhere there is a corporate exec salivating over the ratings of one faction of Americans killing off the factions they disagree with. First they came for the Muslims, and then the brown people, and then the journalists, and then the libs. I don't see one thing on that 14 signs of fascism that I don't also see in this country.

Now they just battle for ratings and they are dying for their ridiculous gotcha questions to actually work, they have stomped actual journalism flat?
I'm wasting no time with TV news any more, and feeling better off!

They show those clips on all the news channels.
MSNBC clips don't get that kind of coverage.
Trump needs to be bashed every time he is in front of a live mic.
His lies are ripping this country apart.

Explain that you aren't being permitted to report the facts.
Explain how dangerous this is.
Explain what a threat this is to the welfare of this country.
Stand up, do something.

(81,110 posts)including the most hideous mass-murder machines, to me they ARE crazy people.
Did anybody see that Chris Cuomo town hall on guns on CNN the other night? One of the people there in the audience was a middle aged white woman who was described as owning an AR-15 assault rifle. I waited in vain for either the experts on stage or Chris Cuomo himself to stop and ask her - why do you think you need to own an AR-15? Do you live in a Syrian ghetto or something, maam? But no. I certainly would have asked that. Another white American paranoiac?

(756 posts)There are NO exit polls that hold election results to task. Bribes are legalized. Never asked questions don't need to be answered. I have lowered my expectations lower than I could have imagined 5yrs back. Massive change is coming and it will be painful. All we really need is free and fair elections including primaries, for '20 & '22. Money turns everything to shit. Peacefully changing needs an informed and educated electorate, and the airwaves belong to the people. ☮️ Enough for a 300 billion dollar/year defense budget, leaves us 500 billion to play with !! Of course Medicare for all is alot cheaper than what we got !! It seems so easy, but the forces against, pay the media and the govt
