Trump threatens retaliation against countries that issue travel warnings against the US

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump threatened undefined retaliation Friday against countries and organizations that issue travel warnings on the United States because of gun violence.

"If they did that, we'd just reciprocate," Trump said during a wide-ranging impromptu gaggle with reporters at the White House, en route to fundraisers in New York.

He added: "We are a very reciprocal nation with me as the head. When somebody does something negative to us in terms of a country, we do it to them."

Amnesty International and a growing list of countries have begun issuing warnings about travel to the United States because of gun violence, including mass shootings over the weekend in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

Warnings, which are of varying degrees of intensity, have come from a list of countries that include Uruguay, Venezuela, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand.

can end up in a mass shooting situation. So it does not matter that you have not seen such violence, I hope you never see it, but who is to say you won't.

The advisories are normal. We do that to other countries when a specific condition in those countries warrant American citizens being told to exercise caution when going to those countries, or not go at all.

Because of un-American Walmart you can walk into with assault weapon and start murdering people in one of their stores. Walmart is promoting murdering people of a different race. Walmart allows murders to walk into their store to kill people. Instead they took down game promotions.

Walmart is one messed up and un-American company

He’s always threatening retaliating. And sometimes it does. This is getting old.

I don’t know if they could find a person to be president who would be inept than Trump..., or else more determined to destroy the country.

I just reserved a room on Florida’s Nature coast at a cool old style Florida inn right on the water with docks for your boat. When you get their list of rules one states prominently ‘no firearms allowed on property, even concealed’. Basically telling gun nuts they are not welcomed.

They get lots of foreign guests. It pathetic we have reached that point.

I sent them an email thanking them for the policy.

America would negotiate with the aggrieved countries to find an alternative. This isn't the first time some country has issued a travel warning about visiting the USA.

Every responsible country looks out for its nationals abroad. Now that the far right has declared open season on immigrants in addition to the almost daily mass shootings, they have every reason to be concerned.
