It's one thing to say, "I wonder...." It's another to take the next step, and start implicitly presuming that it had to have been your political enemy.

For all we know, the aunt of one of Epstein's victim's has a son who works in the prison. CTs crucially rely on being sure that a lot of isn't known doesn't matter, and some of what isn't known can be accurately guessed or surmised.

The "I wonder ..." bit gets you precisely nowhere, however, on its own and is immensely dissatisfying.
