The Great Hack - documentary - Should be required viewing for all

You want to understand how Cambridge Analytica manipulated people, through ads, Facebook, this is a great documentary, as it exposes how data was mined, and then used to sway voters..not just in the US, but the Brexit campaign...and many other countries, and so much more...

You think it can't happen again..look at the UK now...and just look at all the divisive rhetoric we see here every day..

Now I am speechless...after watching HOW it was done..let's put down the Epstein story for now..watching the Great Hack will start to give you clarity..no wonder so many in power didn't want this to air...

And just because Cambridge Analytica declared bankruptcy in US and UK and pled guilty to using our data, doesn't mean another won't pick up the ball and run with it....

Yes, some of it bubbled up over the course of this last year, but, so much more..I came away infuriated, - I am not one to do online surveys..NOW, I never will andI cancelled facebook over a year ago..I wasn't active on it at all, however.

That item you looked at yesterday on line..innocent enough..but why are you seeing ads for that item today??

the title seems inappropriate. This is more about theft of data, some by hacking, but mostly by what we as social media consumers, give away for free. Then the manipulators come in and figure out who is sitting on a fence and bombard them with lies and propaganda.

nefarious reasons - as anyone who watched the documentary knows...I really was amazed how data was weaponized...yep, we just give our info away....

How do we prepare for the next time? Should the Dems be resigned to fighting fire with fire. This will not stop and little is being done to fight it.

Whether or not you took surveys is immaterial, there is nothing the individual can do to protect the country.
