Some responders act like it is a hot potato and refuse to even speculate. The fear in this country of the results of referring to the corruption of the government is massive. Where and we headed and what will be the end of these times of deterioration of what was the most powerful country in the world?

(23,097 posts)They should subpoena the tapes, but I'd bet strongly that it doesn't exist and there will be a gap where the system failed at the same time as the security system failed and all that happened right when Epstein was in the process of dying.

MSNBC works to elect Republicans, and judging by Reid's behavior I suspect going along is a job requirement for her -- just as we know it has been for others who competed for these jobs.

(13,593 posts)There is no "mystery" here. Child molesters almost always commit suicide. At least in this case there wasn't a captive group in a cult that went with him as was the case with Jim Jones and David Koresh.

(102,234 posts)a suicide watch is just burying their head in the sand. There need be nothing conspiratorial nor extremist to question. Even DOJ/FBI and Congress are doing so.
The fact is a death that appears a suicide, whether in jail or a home environment is always going to be investigated to ensure it was not a "suspicious" death. That is a basic procedure. And yes, suicide is not uncommon in jails, but it is not expected in a Federal facility after an initial attempt had already been documented--sans any attempt to prevent it
So, you can derisively say "mystery", but it is unanswered questions and how anyone could justify NOT asking them is beyond me. To not do so would be incredibly irresponsible. We, the people are responsible for the humane care of those behind bars. Many may wish to ignore that, but we are no less culpable than we are when we see immigrants being mistreated and children suffering at the hands of our "leadership".
I will continue to ask questions

(58,785 posts)Republicans, just as Joe Scarborough does. They're pushing back against the scary extremism that's taken over the Republican Party but working hard to keep it in power.
Note that, although the culture of that party has been taken over by Southern-type religiosocial passions, economically Todd, Scarborough, and the party leadership are all allied with billionaire/centimillionaire interests.
Maybe watch how Todd routinely handles coverage of despicable Republican behaviors by using it for false comparisons of Democrats to spread the smear and deceive and confuse voters. Then ask yourself if there's a connection between that and 40% of the electorate not voting, or with people right here on DU who repeat this no-real-difference poison so sincerely that you really wonder if they voted Democrat in 2016, or will in 2020.
Joe and Mike helping present the Kochs as really just nice, ordinary guys. Joe's warmup before the interview: They're "awesome," "godsend," "people should thank them" and "stop picking on them."

I think there is a real "NEED' right now for some to reassure themselves by suggesting it is just the rest of DU who are creating outrageous conspiracies. That "clear" dichotomy of themselves as a "calm objective fount of wisdom" versus those of us they view as conspiracists--who question to any degree whatsoever what is said, what is happening, what the administration and yes occasionally the media tells us. I guess if that makes them feel better, what the hell, but I won't stop calling them out for those tactics.

(16,176 posts)Thats the first question, in my opinion.
New identity for an asset is an alternative, completely ABSURD scenario.
Naturally nothing so absurd could happen to a man who had lived his life as a humble high school math teacher. Working for god knows who making his money god knows where.
Nobody in government would know how to do that.
