Jeffrey Epstein's apparent suicide triggers a wave of anti-Jewish conspiracies online

The death of Jeffrey Epstein, whose body was discovered in his prison cell on Saturday in an apparent suicide, has triggered calls for an official inquiry and a wave of conspiracy theories online.

The US financier, awaiting trial on charges of trafficking underage girls for sex, appeared not to be on suicide watch this weekend even though he had attempted to take his own life less than three weeks ago.

Epstein was given daily psychiatric evaluations after July 23, when he was found unconscious in his cell with marks around his neck, but he was removed from suicide watch and returned to a segregated area of the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan on July 29, the New York Times reported.

The 66-year-old, already convicted of soliciting prostitution with a minor a decade ago, had been denied bail in this year’s case and was facing up to 45 years in prison.

4. The "It was the Jews" fallback position

This one was tough to blame on blacks or Muslims. After all, it's unlikely that Epstein had any blacks or Muslims at his orgies, so none of "THEM" had a motive. Further, a black person, or some brown Muslim type, would have stood out if they had gained access to Epstein's cell and either aided his "suicide," or outright killed him.

Sooo, it must have been a Jew. Most of them are white and many can pass as Christians. One of them could have easily gotten to Epstein and helped him leave this world. And since no real Christian would have been involved in anything this nefarious, it must have been a Jew. That's the only thing that makes sense. (Not to mention that Epstein was obviously involved in the part of the "International Jewish Conspiracy" that is responsible for all the sex trafficking in the world.)

6. Pretty much par for the course.

Anytime there is a big to do, the anti-Semitic theories come out to play. Sadly, it isn't always limited to the right, especially if one of the players is a Jew. Your second paragraph sums it up very nicely. That is the playbook I am used to seeing in situations like this.
