8th Amendment

“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.” This amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing unduly harsh penalties on criminal defendants, either as the price for obtaining pretrial release or as punishment for crime after conviction.

Could a lawsuit to close down the Federal Prison where an inmate was not protected be filed, or all Federal Prison be closed?

the prison would not be closed but probably a consent decree could result.

do you realize how common suspicious deaths occur in prisons? some kind of massive investigation and reform is necessary, perhaps some good could result from this person's life.
