Washington Post prints the names of every mass US shooting victim since 1966

Eleven hundred ninety-six.

That’s the number of names on this page. People who were doing ordinary things until they were shot to death by killers bent on mass fatalities.

In today’s Washington Post, a special 12-page print section lists every mass shooting victim since 1966.

WOW. So powerful

and who are having to live with catastrophic injuries, and with the bullets that are still inside them. Or, who are going to be suffering from PTSD for the rest of their lives.

No one ever thinks about that.

There was some mass shooting event a few years ago. I had read a story about something and it referenced a man who died from his wounds months afted he was released from the hospital, I think due to a complication from infection. I often wonder if people like this appear on casualty lists.
