He went quiet after his 2016 debacle, but looks like it's time for him to ramp up the religion again. He is a religious extremist, dominionist type, not just using it. He has a whole lot of competition for ruler of the U.S. of course.
Talking about murderous, just imagine the battles that'd ensue during a takeover between leaders of the various (overlapping) RW plutocrat, white power, and Christian dominionist factions. My money'd be on the last, but blood would flow between its religious factions also.
But there is logic in the destructive madness they're encouraging, as are hostile nations.

Each denomination or sub-denomination could be assigned to it's own state with WALLS separating them.
Perfect setup for the rapture.....
