Congressman Curt Schilling? It's a possibility.
The former Diamondbacks pitcher and staunch conservative said he is "absolutely considering" running for Congress in Arizona, The Arizona Republic reported.
Schilling, 52, didn't say which district he was willing to run in but wants to go up against one of Arizona's five Democrats.
"Not ready to do any of that right now. If/When things solidify I will but right now it's something in the 'I'm considering it' stage," Schilling told The Arizona Republic in an email.
Schilling added: "The state is not the state I grew up in. Making Arizona citizens of EVERY Race, religion and sexual orientation 2nd class citizens to illegal immigrants is about as anti-American as it gets. When you have homeless veterans, children, and you're spending tax dollars on people smuggling drugs and children across our border someone in charge needs their a kicked."

(2,363 posts)and I admired Mr Schilling when he was on the team (bloody sock legend) but he is a first class jerk. Doesn't anyone remember his $75 million dollar loan from the state of Rhode Island he defaulted on when his video game company went belly up? He only paid back a couple mil when they settled the lawsuit. No wonder Trump loves him...birds of a feather.

(59,436 posts)The Globe posted that Curt Schilling held a rally at Boston City Hall today, they estimated that a few dozen people, yes, two dozen, like 24 people showed up. That estimate looks charitable as the photograph looks more like 12 people to me.
But it seems like we didnt miss much:
Former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling joined about two dozen Donald Trump supporters on a rain-chilled and windswept Boston City Hall Plaza on Saturday afternoon to denounce Hillary Clinton and what several speakers called the Clinton crime family.
Then he encouraged people who havent made a decision to not vote, since their values, thoughts and opinions dont matter unless they align with his. But since no one was there Im not sure exactly who he was talking to.
