when the uncle went on and on about how he is going to take care of the baby-- and never mentioned anything about the older child, who is, after all, just as orphaned but had never been held as a prop by the Trumps. (So she's not going to bring in the contributions.)

From what I've read the mother's family wasn't very happy about how the baby was used for a trump photo op. They wanted to remain neutral about politics at least publicly and didn't want the baby to be a part of that circus. As far as the mother's daughters are concerned, they were the result of previous relationships, so they aren't technically orphans. The older daughter was dropped off at cheerleader practice on the day of the shooting, while the younger girl was dropped off at her biological father's house. She's still with him. If I can find the link to story I read explaining it better I'll add it to my post.

Edited for a correction: It seems that the three children are with the mother's family. See tblue's post- #5

They can't even mourn her in peace. I can't imagine that Jordan or Andre would be happy about how this is playing out; trump supporter's or not. And if the father's family really only wanted to meet with trump to talk about the shooting, they could've done that without putting baby Paul in that situation.
