The Trump attitude is in the news here in Sheboygan...

The older guy in this news story is a frequent letter writer to the local newspaper, whining and griping about "the liberals," "socialists," and "the far left."

Suffice to say in the guy's viewpoint, also, "Trump can do no wrong..."

The younger guy is a real winner too.

Hate Crime Charges Levied in July 4th Incident in Sheboygan

A July 4th incident in Sheboygan has resulted in hate crime charges against two Sheboygan men and lesser charges against 5 others.

A criminal complaint filed Monday in Sheboygan County Circuit Court claims that 63-year-old Scott Roeder approached a car of young black women making a U-turn near his North 2nd Street home and used racial slurs, telling them to “go back to Milwaukee.” The driver later told officers she’d been slapped by 2 people, knocking her glasses from her face.

When the father of one of the women, Gregory Thomas, arrived on the scene, he was surrounded by 7 or 8 men - one of them 32-year-old Ryan Roeder. Thomas said he punched Roeder, who responded by hitting Thomas in the ribs with a shovel. The elder Roeder, then wielding a large military-style knife, allegedly stated,“Get a rope, we’re going to hang this - expletive - from a tree.” As Roeder lunged with the knife he was hit in the face and his jaw broken by Thomas, who was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Scott Roeder is facing charges of recklessly endangering safety with modifiers of a hate crime and use of a dangerous weapon, among others.

Ryan Roeder is charged as a repeat offender with felony battery with hate crime modifiers and use of a dangerous weapon. Both Roeders and 4 others also face various misdemeanor charges.

Someone comes at him with a knife, he hits him and breaks his jaw... and the one about to get knifed is also charged? Disorderly conduct is well-known (like "loitering&quot as one of those charges used in a racist fashion, like to discourage black people from coming to a town.

parents were very involved in the Democratic party. It is going to be a fight to get Wisconsin blue again. I hope these men are off the streets for a long time.

are coming out of the woodwork, thinking that anything they do is ok. It is NOT okay. These scumbags are finding out what the real America really stands for and abhors people like them (the roeders). I hope that the book is thrown at them...they intended to do harm. The charge against the father should be dismissed...after all, he was defending his own daughter!
