(25,342 posts)Net favorability of the ACA is slightly positive and has been increasing (as the article noted) since Trump took office.
It seems that they're talking more about the historical unpopularity (which, to some extent, was true pre-Trump) rather than the current levels. At present, it's 48/41 favorable/unfavorable.

(51,430 posts)The really dumb idiots realized it was the same thing as the ACA only when it was threatened to be taken away two years ago. Duh?!? When you listen to Fux Ruse calling it Obamacare for 10 years your brain turns to mush. Now the really, really moronic cult are finally waking up? Survival of the fittest leaves them behind.

(11,949 posts)But it was made much better by the ACA. Maximum out of pocket caps, no pre-existing exemptions, more things mandated for coverage. We dont have kids but allowing them to stay till they are 26.
Suburban voters took us to victory last November. Most dont have ACA but are in my boat. But they like what the ACA gave them.

(31,096 posts)YOu do have ACA
we all do
sigh
ACA is what our healthcare system is now, that some are able to get discounted premiums thru the ACA has nothing to do with the fact that our entire system now is based on the ACA.
Not mad at you but this misconception drives me crazy

But my insurance coverage is regulated and actually made better by the ACA.

(3,427 posts)Its unpopularity was largely due to the individual mandate. People mostly liked the other provisions.
The point was that like the ACA, people may support Medicare for All in theory, but once the details become clear, support will be dragged down by its most unpopular elements (for example, elimination of private insurance, higher taxes, etc.)
