As featured on Morning Joe this am! Both of my pups, Jack and Logan, are rescue, as are my SO's wonderful pup, Jackie, and her nefarious ( ) cat, Felix.

Looking for a pet? Saturday's as good as any day!

1. All of my dogs have been rescues. Shelter and especially mixed breed dogs are the Best!

Not to ignore the kitties...

I wish I could have more and more and more. No such thing as too much unconditional love.

2. My two dogs and cat are all from the shelter

They are great pets. My old boy is 14 years old (we got him at one). The little girl is 12 (we got her at maybe one as well but are not certain). The cat is 12 as well.

The boy is an English Shepherd or Border Collie (not sure which - small ES but big BC and does not crouch like a BC) can't walk like he used to do (we did several 20 milers and a huge number of 10 milers over the years). He is limited to about three miles now. We now drive to the interesting places we once walked to and then walk around.

3. We are heading out to visit with two little dogs at our local shelter.

It has been 6 years since Tikki (the dog) crossed over the rainbow bridge.
A lot has happened in those years including getting my hips replaced and
finishing an amazing and large “dog run”.

We couldn’t be more ready.

We will be there on Saturday, if we don’t get a new buddy sooner from the shelter.
