No, I did not personally Photoshop the photo in the OP. It was from Twitter, and while I didn't share the link to the tweet, it seemed to be from a legitimate account.

If Trump is in the shot, I can't consider it to be early. If it were a shot of empty seats without Trump, that would be a different story.

If you have proof that the photo in the original photo is fake, of course, I will remove it.

But remember...Trump's people see what we see, and they move people around at his rallies frequently. If there is a possibility that the photo in my OP is a fake shot...and I am reluctant to believe it...there is an equal possibility that seats were later filled to "balance" media coverage.

Everything I post here is in good faith, verified to the best of my ability, and I don't think there is a single Dem on DU who stands for the truth more than I do.

Once I have confirmed that something I post is in error, I remove it immediately. It's the way I've operated throughout my entire time here. The people were enthusiastic and clapping more than usual. I watch his rallies when I can to "know what the enemy is up to" and am certainly not defending him. I like to watch his followers' reactions to his lies, hoping that one day they will wise up and recognize the lies when they hear them.


Early on, the camera showed the upper portion and there were people lining the wall by the steps or a pathway to the stage so they could cheer him on. The empty seats were their seats.

...and several that I read, from reporters who were at the event, said that people WERE filtering out as the event dragged on.

The conclusion I've come to is that people were shuffled around to fill seats. Video that I've seen...not doctored, not fake...shows cameras panning to the balcony, or whatever it's called, and it was SPARSE up there.

What I do know is that I've seen these rallies, where the place looked full and there were people outside, and this does not appear to be one of them. If reports about this were fake, they would have been shot down, and THIS sucker is TRENDING.
