A new report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette claims that workers at Royal Dutch Shells petrochemical plant in Beaver County this week were told that they had to attend President Donald Trumps speech on energy if they wanted to be paid.
In a memo to union employees obtained by the Post-Gazette, Shell informed workers that their attendance is not mandatory, but said that if they did not attend the rally, they would have to take a day off without getting paid.
According to the Post-Gazette, workers were to show up no later than 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning this week, where they were to get their identity cards scanned and would then have to wait in line for hours before the presidents speech.
NO SCAN, NO PAY, Shell informed the workers.

Just leave your rights at the work door...............................but have a "paid training day" to hear a malignant psychopath.
I just gotta ask, how does Shell put that in your file........................if you don't show up...................with this basic mandatory bullshit..............
This "guy" has about as much respect for workers.....................as the illegals that he hired for his golf courses, and the families he stiff's out of contracts.....................................

(24,320 posts)because damned few were/are actual employees of Shell Oil.
This site is under construction, so the vast majority of the people there work in the trades, like Steamfitters, Pipefitters and Electricians and are working for contractors building the facility.

A HERETIC I AM
(24,320 posts)There's one statement that just BLARES out at you!;
I love the unions and I love the workers, Trump said. And, you know, when I built buildings in New York I built them exclusively with unions. People don't understand that. I was exclusive.
Except he doesn't, the lying sack of shit;
