The idea of making America great has been a total fantasy on his part that is made of nothing but words so far. To support that, I would suggest looking up lists of the "promises" he has not kept and some he hasn't even acted on.
In terms of the ripping yarns he has spun impudently, his over exaggerations of certain problems and use of a manipulator's license with others painted a gruesome picture of the state of the country, (oh, it has problems, but T is a distraction from the most significant ones) that he could then use to fashion and imaginary solution to, which just turns out to be him. That's it. Just him. Full stop.
So far, for the low-information, misinformed types of people who gravitate towards authoritarians, etc., this is delusional fiction is now being reinforced as a done deal, which is both pathetic and humorous at the same time, and that is, when you really look at the impact, (which has been more in the negative for average folks) it has had.
The strategy just continues the great big Oz Head approach, (as well as marketing and revenues generated) by the Keep America Great slogan that implies that well, thanks to the Tangerine Mesmer, it's mission accomplished, (yes, I remember that W on that one).
It is somewhat of an amazing cultural phenomenon to observe in real time. Hats will be sold and a fictional reality will be believed in based mostly on a despot's anecdotal manipulations, et al, and a re-election campaign will kick off with an foundation that is totally absent.
Oh, and a new and beffiting derogatory term will be required: KKKAGs. Here's hoping the cost of the new hats will have some impact on his gaggle of Stockholm Syndrome Cultists, at least.
