Railroad volumes have been tanking. Railroads and trucking are leading indicators. We reforecasted the next 12 months last week. We took volume down from our previous forecasts. Not good.

The genius' war with China is not helping things. Ships coming across these days have plenty of capacity.

Personally, I'd rather the economy crashing not happen. There are TONS of other things to win with in 2020 without people needing to lose their jobs.

With less merchandise coming into stores like Macy's, JC Penny, and other bigger retailers in time for Christmas shopping season, I forsee the downturn of numbers of employees getting the axe, less people hired, as well as higher prices on merchandise already subjected to tariffs. This will be Trump's doing if Job Losses start to mount as did under Bush when we were losing 750,000 jobs a month for several months in a row.
