The Conservative Woman's Trifecta of Hate

They HATE anyone who is not just like them to such an extent they accept that conservative men HATE them as women, which must lead to HATE of self…. A never-ending circle of viciousness and bile. It must be exhausting to live with that level of hate. One could almost feel sorry for them – but nah…

if greatly toned down.

I always read your posts and strongly agree with so many of them, but to me this one misses the mark.

I think a lot of people here would be surprised to find that most strong conservatives are overall just as nice to each other as anyone else, have good marriages, make good parents, and are good supportive neighbors. They do have different notions about what is right and wrong, including how right it is to push those notions on everyone else.

A very different, but its in its way perhaps even more damning , synopsis of more moderate conservatives who both believe and know better but vote with the hard right anyway could be made.

They hate their roles but their hate is suppressed, in order to stay submissive to their conservative husbands.

They therefore resent other women who are not burdened with this predicament, those who go far on their beauty, skills, freedom, minds.

I don't think they hate themselves exactly, but they have had their self-confidence and independence just about destroyed. They cannot think for themselves. I would say they hate their weakness as much as their predicament and their man.

Much of this is subconscious to them, so give them a break here or there.

Fear is the normal, genetically inherited survival tool of adaptors. In evolutionary law, adaptation trumps domination. So adaptors outlast predators.

It probably is exhausting, and would feel exhausting if they didn't also live off of adrenaline addiction. Survival is, deep down, about fear and vigilance. Guns, hate of the "other," are the collective answers for the fear they feel.

I do feel sorry for them. There is hope for conservative women, because they really don't aspire to apex predator status. They stand just behind those they are trained to think are their protectors.

But when they've lived with Stockholm Syndrome, it takes a while to be rid of those mental, emotional habits once their captors are gone. Once they're gone, these women might even go off looking for new ones. That's how deep this can run.

1. They hate themselves because they've been taught to.

2. They hate the men who dominate them.

3. They hate people who point out their self-loathing nature that leads to their submissive attitude.

I've known such relationships where the conservative woman appeared to be in charge. They may have tried to make it look otherwise but I don't think they really fooled anyone. Certainly not myself.

Come to think of it though: that may well be true in a majority of relationships, regardless of political viewpoints.
