1. So everyone is predicting this coming recession,

yet NOBODY with the authority is doing anything about it? tRump is allowed to ruin the entire country, and everyone sits back and allows it? Some financial experts need to step up and take charge. tRump is and always will be a disaster for this country. His enablers in the gop are just as bad. Past time to push him aside, and take over the running of this country while we still HAVE a country. Putin must be loving this disaster. His plans are working perfectly. Spread rubles into the gop, and the country implodes with a total idiot in the WH. Moscow Mitch needs to step aside, too. He wields too much power. for one person.

3. The next president is going to have an epic mess to clean up

I find it hard to believe that GOP expects Trump to win reelection when everyone knows recession is coming and the economy has been artificially propped up. Tax cuts and low rates can only do so much.

The first thing any modern Democratic president has to do upon taking office is set about cleaning up the mess from the last Republican one.

8. I'm with you, except, we have no idea how far Trump and the Russians will go to keep him in power.

For me, that is the unknown that we do not know. Trump and the GOP with the help of Moscow Mitch have been working to restrict the American voters from knowing just how unsafe our elections systems are.

IMO if Trump is declared the winner by just ONE vote he will never let go of the power until someone drags him out of the White House in handcuffs and a straight jacket.

His followers are so delusional and racists they would be willing to believe the recession was/is the fault of President Obama.

One final point how can the Republicans who have failed to rein Trump in walk away with clean hands. In old nautical terms, they are all lashed to the mainsail on a sinking ship that will take them down as well.

5. Yeah, most capitalist economic crashes are predictable.

Hillary just had the guts to say it out loud.

A paper I read several years ago on 2008 crash said many financial experts saw the crash coming 4 years in advance. They just weren't talking about it.

7. It's easy to see a bubble, but harder to predict when it will pop

For 2007-2008, everyone knew there was a housing bubble and problems with subprime mortgages, but the connection to lots of other investments and the large amount of mortgage backed securities in pension/retirement funds was not as obvious. The financial industry went to great lengths to hide it. Most folks still don't know how their local community bank, union pension fund, or favorite charity had money invested in a flaming pile of lies.
