Rmoney and Rayn absolutely must be curbstomped.

Routed.

Humiliated.

Destroyed.

We must not merely defeat the GOP this year, but we must crush them so completely that they can never recover in their present form.

The GOP is the most sick, twisted, bigoted, jingoistic, sadistic, cruel, willfully ignorant, delusional and psychopathic that it has EVER been. They've outdone the Bush years, they've outdone the Reagan years, they've outdone Nixon and they've outdone the Roaring 20s of Harding, Coolidge, Hoover and Teapot Dome that helped lead us to the Great Depression. This is the most ugly and evil that I've ever seen them. EVER!

I'd venture so far as to say that you'd have to go all the way back to the mid 19th century, to the lead-up to the Civil War, to the Democrats of that time (remember, the Republicans and the Democrats switched places in the early 20th century - the Democrats were the pro-slavery racist bastards who were pulling a Tea Party and grinding the country's business to a halt, and the Republicans were trying to be reasonable).

That's how bad they are.

And that's why we must not merely win, we must utterly destroy the GOP.

We must make it clear that the Southern Strategy must die. We must make it clear that demagoguery, bigotry, mendacity, corruption, greed, class warfare, religious fanatacism and jingoism cannot win more than the lunatics in their base, and cannot gain enough support to assume power. We must make it clear that if they take the road they are taking today, they will not survive as a party.

We must wage absolute, total war on the Republicans.

We must abandon notions of bipartisanship and civility when dealing with the GOP. The Republicans are psychopaths. They WILL NOT work with us. Any attempts of negotiation and deal-making with the GOP will end with knives in our backs. They are ALWAYS looking for creative new ways to fuck us.

We must be absolutely ruthless, and completely merciless. We cannot afford to be nice. Those times are over. We strike hard, and put every ounce of energy we have into destroying our enemies, or we will be destroyed.

We must be vicious. We must treat this contest as a fight for the soul of America. We must win this war, or we could lose what America is supposed to stand for: freedom, equality, decency. America is this >< close to being as weak as the Weimar Republic, and if we can't find the strength to win this power struggle, this country could endure a dark age of tyranny and poverty lasting decades, maybe centuries.

(DISCLAIMER: All the violent-sounding rhetoric of this rant is meant completely metaphorically.)

or we win by an OK, but not super-dominating margin, the result is that the GOP comes back in 2016 with the same nastiness we saw tonight, taken to the 10th power, and then, we might not have a candidate with the charisma and political saavy of Barack Obama. They'll have their A-players running rather than the assclowns of 2012, combined with the money of the Kochs and Adelsons, with no restrictions thanks to Citizens United, and we could get steamrolled. The end result will make the Bush years seem like the good ol' days.

I agree. War is war. It's like the civil war, but must more momentous. If they win then everything so many have done to build this country will be destroyed, and quickly.

No "concern" involved, but how do you take a person that routinely uses childish parodies of names seriously?

I'm guilty of the occasional "he of the magic underpants", but only rarely and only when the moniker applies to the subject being discussed.

and yet i think there's better ways to do it than some of the voilent wording of your rant, but then again, i also understand where the rant comes from. It's terrifying to think we have our own taliban right here in 'merca...the war on the poor, women, gays, any other race than white, etcetcetc is not only sickening it is downright horrific. I wonder where I would run to if it happened? or if I would be able to even make that crossing....

so yes, we canNOT let them win. I also am putting a lot of faith in intelligence of my fellow Americans...because the knuckledraggers are being so blatant about it it CAN'T be taken seriously...right?

then again, when i hear my own father rant so hatefully about our POTUS and policy that would affect my life and the lives of his grandkids it makes me

Puts the stomp into the curbstomp (metaphorically speaking.)

But at the same time, the GOP has figured out long ago that bullshit works, and countering bullshit isn't easy.

Emotional appeal is just as important as factual and logical integrity. We must be able to persuade.

he is not banking on the usual 51 percent. People who want to curbstomp Rmoney aren't in the equation of who will win the next election. Metaphorically speaking curbstomping is not what we need. We need all the base and independents if we want Barack Obama to win. Are the independents talking about curbstomping?

A huge number of Americans are sub-par intellectually and ethically.

They cannot understand what's in the best interest of our country and really the whole world.

They cannot understand what is in their own best interest. Even when the facts are available
and the numbers are clear.

Thus, we must get rid of this Republican scourge because they are able to lead these weak
people and thus destroy our country and the world.

My concern is climate change, but of course it's many, many other problems.

Maybe it's that they take so little interest in the world around them outside of what's offered up in the mainstream. I've lived long enough to know it wasn't always this way. The general level of knowledge has degraded.

Mitt needed to restore his wacky base.. I think much is on the shoulder of Joe Biden when he debates Ryan. Let's hope Joe is doing his homework and debate preparation. if Ryan's Ayn Rand fantasy can be lanced , the Libertarian vision will be exposed for what it is..
in this rare election, the Veep Debates might be more significant than they usually are.
Go Joe. Be our attack dog .
