There seem to be three kinds of Republicans.
Republicans in 2016:
1) "I always vote Republican, because they say they are the party of responsibility, patriotism, and Christian values. Trump seems like a smart man and he's exactly what this country needs right now after Obama's socialism, failed economy, and lack of respect around the world. Why, yes, I only watch FOX News; why do you ask?"
2) "Can you believe this amoral, self-serving, narcissistic, groping serial cheater the GOP has put on the ticket for us to vote for? The guy has no experience, he's a bully and a con man, and his so-called business genius is based on a heavily-edited reality TV show. He's hiding his taxes which seems real suspicious, and he talks like a grade-schooler. We're supposed to vote for this ignorant buffoon? (sigh) Well... Alright. " (Pulls lever for Republican)
3) "Trump! Fuck, yeah!!"
I'm not sure which of these three types Democrats hope to persuade to vote for a Democrat in 2020. None of the seem inclined to abandon their "team."
