The 1968 Democratic convention was detrimental to the Party's prospects. I wouldn't say that about this infomercial. I didn't hurt Mitt any. There will be a small bounce, as happens when you're on TV a lot.
But what a waste of a convention.
This was a very drab, listless convention. Everything was unlucky. (Isaac, Clint) The exclusion of the craziest (and most popular) Republicans made for a surly, low energy vibe. No sense of pageantry or moment.
This is, of course, intended to be the Campaign about Nothing. Mitt doesn't want to run a campaign at all. The idea is to run a zillion negative ads and hope the voters choose "Other" so there's no real upside to Mitt attracting attention.
And it did work on that levelas somehow being unable to focus on.
You know those movies that by the time you get to your car you cannot remember what you saw?
Like that.
The crowd seemed to be about 180 people.
There was just... nothin'
