If this arises and Pence loses the GE along with Trump, he's finished in the Republican party anyway.

There is no way Republicans would allow anyone remotely associated with Trump, especially his charisma vacuum VP to run for national office ever again.

So Pence would have nothing to lose and would experience a brief stint at the presidency.

Count on that. Might come in the form corporate board positions. Presidency of a college/university. Big vacation real estate deal with laundered money sloshing around later.

And with this SCOTUS it would at least be worth a shot for Trump. The other thing is that most of the most serious charges are probably financial, which are hard to get convictions on in our system. This is true even for state crimes. All it takes is one Trumper on the jury.

He can't pardon him for all crimes going forward, as far as I know. And Trump and his family have a Laundry list of crimes that they will be charged with and eventually tried for once he leaves office.

But he will also lean on the a Supreme Court and Mitch McConnell and Republicans
It will be another Civil War with the power apparatus in the Republicans hands

but no quite so many owners of them. I think one person can only shoot and carry one of these at a time. Correct? Will they be like the rebels of the Confederacy, at war with the military, or like criminals, at war with the police, who have military equipment now. I don't think they will last very long.

If Pence did that to Trump, then that would be admission of guilt that Trump committed crimes, and many of those crimes were committed while he was running for president (and before), and would also fall under state jurisdiction. that would be Trump's doom. Not deliverance.

My guess it Idiot trump stays in and throws tantrums until the bitter end; and as the Titanic slowly goes under, he'll be in the ballroom asking why the service is so bad all of a sudden.
