Is this trump essentially telling us that Russia manipulated votes and put him in office, in his convoluted way???

1. I don't think that's it. I think what happened is that Trump, who is still

steamed over the fact that Clinton got three million more votes than he did, is trying to find someone to blame because he can't imagine that all those people voluntarily voted for her and not for him. Conveniently, he pounced on this recent study, based on a very small sampling, suggesting that Google's search engine algorithms led to search results tending to favor Democrats. His twist on this flawed study was that Google caused millions of people to vote for Hillary or that it even changed their votes. While he was evidently also doing a whatabout regarding the Russian interference that intentionally favored him, I think he was just continuing to try to find an excuse for losing the popular vote, which still rankles.
