5. The voters in his own hometown didn't vote for him.

Another reason for the move could be that he's not exactly beloved in Wisconsin. I'm sure he's o.k. in Waukesha County, but not many other places.

DC as a world center of power and wealth is addictive. And not just pols, also journalists and many others who'll do a lot to be able to stay and associate in whatever circles they've managed to achieve. Intrinsically corrupting.

13. Trump said recently that Pence will be his running mate. Assuming Trump runs again.

That probably means Pence is DOA, if the festering anal wart holds to his previous pattern. I guess maybe Ryan could actually be in line, I dunno. He really is a skeevy mo-fo.
