Queens man rejected for congressional internship threatened to shoot Rep. Nydia Velazquez

New York Daily News

A spurned congressional internship candidate was arrested Wednesday for threatening to shoot Brooklyn Rep. Nydia Velazquez after being passed over for the position, officials said.

Police arrested Luke Nammacher on Wednesday after tracing a threatening call he made to the San Francisco office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday, claiming that he had “a friend” who wanted to shoot Velazquez (D-Brooklyn).

A day earlier, he tried, and failed to get an internship with Velazquez’s office, officials said. When he was turned down, he kept calling the office, harassing staffers.

Cops charged Nammacher him with making a terroristic threat.

It's almost as if people think this kind of behavior is reasonable now...
