CNN: Trump 'is bringing more hope and change than Obama ever could'.

This a quote from an OP by John Blake, published by CCN. Whatever the intentions of the author, this piece is a disgrace.

CNN, August 23, 2019
https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/23/us/trump-obama-change-blake/index.html

Trump is doing what Obama couldn't

Some Democratic voters are looking for a candidate who can restore the optimism of the Obama era. But what if the progressive champion they're looking for is already sitting in the White House?

Call it the audacity of President Trump: He is bringing more hope and change than Obama ever could.

I know, I know. For some people, this is blasphemy. Yet one of the biggest ironies of Trump's presidency is that he has become a more effective catalyst for progressive social change than Obama.

(snip) I never thought I'd say this. As an African-American man, I felt pride when Obama walked into the White House. I loved seeing how devoted he was to his family. I smiled when he broke into an Al Green song onstage. And I blinked away tears when I saw that Oval Office photograph of a five-year-old black boy reaching up to touch Obama's hair just to see if it really felt like his.

And yet I wonder today if I and others drew the wrong lesson from his election. Maybe the deep, systemic changes that so many yearn for couldn't come through his temperate, "No Drama Obama" approach. Maybe real change only comes through chaos and crisis -- Trump's leadership style.

Oh, sure, slash and burn is a strategy. A little chaos and crises never hurt anybody.

Yes, I too thought that there was that kind of value as far as the catalyst aspect was concerned, but it has gone way beyond that because our mobilization and solidarity is not as much a factor as what we will inherit after the massive, slow motion trainwreck, so this is not really the time to be making those kinds of statements, methinks.

This is NOT drama. This is a bona fide disaster and it is getting worse all the time.

Oceania, Tis For Thee

Strong and peaceful, wise and brave;
Fighting the fight for the whole world to save.
We the people will ceaselessly strive
To keep our great revolution alive.
Unfurl the banners, look at the screen;
Never before has such glory been seen.

Oceania, Oceania, Oceania, 'tis for thee.
Every deed, every thought 'tis for thee.
Every deed, every thought 'tis for thee.

Trump had to take this country down to its rock bottom depths where we could eyeball the Republican gutter reptiles and their scurvy agenda. And it's here that we were all forced to come together for change that we can all believe in.

Read only the title and not the article.
“Boycott CNN” shows a complete lack of reading comprehension and the same attitude we usually see from the FOXbots to wanting their news to toe the party line.

A few examples I can think of:

The change of fertile land from burning crops and salting the Earth.

The change of having a head, to not having a head.

Asteroid strikes bring some major changes.

Same for toxic spills, nuclear attacks, extreme climate change...

Not all changes are good!
