Pass along ALL of the tariff to consumers. Raise your prices to pay for it.

Tell them why you are doing it. Call it the Trump sales tax.

1. In most cases they don't have a choice

Margins are generally dictated by competitive forces. Most business owners cannot afford to eat the tariff and make a profit.

If you raise the price the amount of demand will decrease which will result in you selling less. This is going to literally bankrupt a lot of people.

and some started raising prices before the tariffs went into effect - "In anticipation of increased costs due to tariff, this invoice show a price increase in the part you ordered."
