The clip, which you can see below, then cuts to David Letterman showing off some Trump-branded ties, to which Trump responds, “They are great ties.” Letterman then tells the audience that the ties are made in China, to which Trump responds with stunned silence.


That was seven years ago, but it appears that Trump-branded goods are still made in China. For example, as Newsweek reported in late July, Trump’s “Keep America Great” hats and other merchandise related to Trump’s 2020 campaign are made in China. Indeed, the magazine even provided a photo of a worker in a Chinese factory making a Trump 2020 banner.

5. I saw a FB ad that proudly proclaimed "shipped from America!" It was for American flag

"Keep America Great" hats. I told a Trump worshipper about it and she said, no way those are made in China, the media would tear Trump up over that. I told her these obviously are, and aren't official Trump hats. If those clowns could say made in America, they would. They're trying to put one over on people hoping they will think it's made in America.

About those official Trump hats that are supposedly made in the USA. Did anyone check to see for sure that the whole hat is made here? I know for a fact a few places order blanks from China and do the finish work here.

only used union shops for campaign stuff? I remember on a campaign searching for union printers. Or is that just our side?

Here in Pittsburgh we try to print Democratic campaign flyers, posters and such with the union label whenever possible. Problem is there are very few union print shops left in the city or in Allegheny county. I'm sure other cities have the same problem. A lot of smaller towns have no union printers at all any more.

there are knock-off MAGA hats available on Amazon that are made in China. Any MAGA hats bought directly from the Trump campaign are made in the U.S.A.. It doesn't say anything about them being Union Made though.
