(25,586 posts)to being China wont sell to America. This is likely a supply chain issue. Every import-heavy business experiences these.
Even if it is tariff-related then its almost certainly a matter of ascertaining final costs in order to adjust pricing.

(43,049 posts)both Chinese companies that ship directly. Containers come into LA and then the stuff gets dropped off at the post office.
I once had a problem with GearBest not liking a particular credit card, but it took another one. Never had a problem with Zenni.
Haven't ordered from either for a while, but I should. I could use some new glasses and watches and see how it's going.
Amazon partners with small vendors and who knows how their stuff gets in. It's possible nobody's shipping or taking orders until the Trumptaxing gets straightened out.

(14,522 posts)Let them know that someone who needs visual aids can not buy something affordable, to help him. I feel this is just a canary in a coal mine. What other medical aids will Americans not have access to in the future, because....trump trade war?

There are literally dozens of large button keyboards on Amazon alone that don't have to come from China. (I'm talking about the fact that they're Prime eligible which gives guaranteed receipt dates unless something is specifically marked "ships in 2-3 weeks" or something similar.) At worst, this man can't order that specific item, but we really don't know why. I'm pretty sure they didn't get a message that actually said that they won't sell to the US. I'd want to see a link to the item so I can try it myself before I'd believe that.
