Joe Arpaio, the disgraced sheriff of Maricopa County in Arizona is running for his old job. I'm hoping his chance of winning is somewhere south of zilch.

(905 posts)Arpaio is finally going to dig into the illegal slush fund he stole selling pink underwear and other "necessities" out of his tent-city concentration camps in the desert. Wish to hell there were actual investigative reporters in Arizona following this asswipe's money trail. And no, I don't buy the explanation that just because his Rethuglican cronies made it legal to hide all real estate transactions of public officials that a good investigative reporter can't dig up this info anyway.

(14,120 posts)If Maricopa county put him back in, the jokes we say about them here in Pima county will have been proven true.
And many a family down here have had family members in that tent City. Very bad blood with some citizens down here.
But go ahead Maricopa, take him back. It will just make SE Arizona even more Blue.
