Once the Electoral College certifies, that is it; anyone not acknowledging the new administration is in some ways technically in revolt.

It's why I've always *HATED* anyone on left or right using the asinine phrase "Not my president". Sorry, once the swearing in happens it's a fact, unless one renounces their citizenship. We hated that fact in 2017, they're gonna hate that fact in 2021

Once the Electoral College certifies, I'm pretty confident that any administration not abiding by the orderly transfer of power can be eliminated by any means the military sees fit, and I have zero problem with *ANY* level of force being used on anyone who tries to stop the legitimate functioning of the government.

If you watch The Exorcist enough times, it starts to get really funny.

It is your mind in your head and your feelings. Why are you renting out space to that? It is you own real estate, guard it well.

Recover yourself so that your energy is fresh and unencumbered by the daily manipulation and white noise. The point and benefit of that is your resilience and equipoise will make you not only more able to stand above it, it will make you more effective and capable of responding and engaging in dealing with it, for the benefit of yourself and others.

Any person of good faith has to be wrung out by the constant barrage of vileness, squalor and fecklessness emanating from this insane clown posse and their idol.

And have you noticed? Even Trump's supporters never look happy. They look mean, they look angry, they look drawn and pinched, tired, demented, soulless, but they don't look happy. They're not smart enough to understand that happiness cannot be created on the backs of the miserable, the oppressed, the hopeless. Schadenfreude is not a solid foundation for a happy life. As much as they seem to enjoy their chance to "own the libtards", they haven't translated that into fulfilling lives.

I feel the way I felt during the seemingly endless, two-term GWB administration, only worse. I can only hope that we soon have a repeat of Election 2008, and the attendant joy and hope of that day.

When it gets to be too much, take a break from it all. Shut it out, recharge, and come back when you're ready. Professional athletes paid millions of dollars aren't on the field for every play. Entertainers who get the big bucks aren't out there performing every night. The gospels portray Jesus taking a break about as often as they have him engaging with or ministering to people. I was pleasantly surprised to hear (and read) the uplifting message of the song. I think I’ll post it on my Facebook page for family and friends who need a positive sign for the day. Thank you.

I, too, sometimes think I can’t stand another day of the madness generated by tRump. I have hoped for so long that the people with the power to remove him from office would do so, but many of them benefit from keeping him in office. It is exhausting to witness what he is doing to our nation and even to the world. For my own sanity’s sake, I hope for the best and remember that even tyrants and despots eventually run out their clock and die. His time will end.

One small thing we all can do is find a place of peace and serenity. I live not far from the Gulf of Mexico. Our beaches are beautiful and peaceful places to remember the good in the world. The regular pulsing of the tide, in and out, soothes the frazzled mind and spirit. So look for your calming place whether in the forest, a rooftop oasis or by the sea. It really can restore a sense of peace that is so needed as we go through the difficult times brought on by this horrid man and his enablers.

I get overwhelmed by the daily dose of new horrors and sometimes disengage to occupy my attention with family, friends, hobbies, and small projects. I intend to do more volunteer work as well.

But whatever works for you to protect yourself, restore your strength, and give you a fresh perspective — that’s what you need.

We need everybody working together over the next 14 months to depose the blubbering baby in the White House, so take yourself off the field when you need to and let somebody else step up. Then rejoin the fray when you feel up to it.

But I feel you. I've been there, too. Just try to remember that the politics of spite is designed to draw joy from frustrating you.

Our miserable opponents love what they call "liberal tears" and remind each other daily of how that is their goal.

Brad Parscale right now is holding women's rallies for Trump in which his speakers say these actual things.

Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump... delivered a bright, confident speech, tinged with cheery grievances. “They make it hard, right? They don’t make it easy for us to be Trump supporters. They try to make you feel bad about it,” she said, drawing nods in the crowd.

“But keep this in mind. You remember the feeling on November 8th? Remember everybody crying, over at the Javits Center? The media, like some people, was on TV, literally crying announcing Donald Trump was President? Think about how much more their heads are going to explode in 2020.” The crowd roared in appreciation, and Trump added, over the din, smiling, “If you need something to keep you going.”

Your tears are honest. And you can convert them to anger and action.

Like Mark Oshiro says, anger is a gift.

But that is what malignant narcissists do. I should know. My mother is one. Every once in a while she slips some of her shitty behavior past me. Then I usually think, "Wait a minute. I know what this is." Then I put my foot down. My mother is ninety years old, and so spiteful she will outlive us all.

Nothing 45 does surprises me. It does exhaust me, yes. But it is predictable, at least to me, that he will behave in a way to keep everyone off balance.

Just hang in there.

2020 elections where rump and his ilk will be wiped out/off the face of the earth. That's it. There is so much anger and hatred out there against rump and his ilk and this is a good thing...we will remember his hate and ignorance and literally explode at the polls in Nov.2020.

This is why rump is mouthing off so much...his ignorance and stupidity are his downfall and he doesn't even know it.

the environmental deregulation and destruction, the pillaging of OUR National Parks and forests drags me down. I put too much energy into W and his clown car. It doesn't take much to exhaust me.

Watching the Woodstock commemorations last week and the anti Vietnam demonstrations reminded me how long I have been doing this.

a young man, I boxed. A lot. And no matter if it was in training or competition, there was a minute break between rounds. I'm old now, and require that rest period more frequently. More, I know it benefits young folks.

I remember after I stopped boxing, a conversation with a traditional Native American Clan Mother. She said that when the world is spinning at a rapid pace, it is essential to find time to witdraw into your own peaceful cycle.

We are experiencing a very, very strange period in human history. Trump is the toxic flowering of the social-political instability. It is absolutely necessary to take time off to care for yourself.

She lives in Arkansas but originally from Cork, Ireland we were talking about how each day is worse.

I said I am at the point every day he doesn’t push the button is a good day. Its to the point I expect evil daily from him.

I have been here all summer going home next week and I haven’t met one American or from any other country that likes him. I did meet one couple from New Jersey who said they don’t talk politics so they might be.

Everyone from here feels bad for us, people from England say we have ours too now. People from other countries just go off on how terrible he is for the environment. People are educated though and all know about our electoral system that doesn’t go by popular vote.

The fact is that I don't trust the scumbag and his band of thieves. I want to know if there is ever some crisis, that must be addressed, from my small corner of the world, by way of preparedness. Related to to the regime this entity leads, or something else, unrelated like a hurricane.

It seems never ending, and, it causes me all sorts of emotional turmoil at times. He and his warty enablers need to go.
