You know, it’s a crime to joke about hijackers while boarding a plane.

It’s time there are some consequences to Trump’s “jokes”. A person in that position of authority should experience the responsibility of the consequences from bullshit statements.

Because you can’t take words away, you can’t put a genie back in the bottle. There are no do-overs in Presidenting, Trump shouldn’t be given the authority to make “jokes” that he claims.

citizenship), tell other countries which members of Congress they can't allow to visit, have his minions break any laws with the promise of pardons (Can an impeached president pardon someone? Will Trump keep his word to do so? Are you willing to risk prison to find out?), unilaterally admit Russia to the G7, ignore the emoluments clause (which no one knows how to enforce, apparently), etc.

There is absolutely nothing that this president has done or plans to do which even resembles normal.

Together with Moscow Mitch (who has created for himself an extraconstituional power to veto legislation and to prevent the president from exercising his Constitutional power to appoint Supreme Court justices), a cabinet secretary who wants to sell off all public lands, and another who is disassembling cutting-edge science agencies, Fat Donnie could be causing irreversible damage to this country.

This is especially true concerning the pristine Arctic National Wildlife Reserve, whose fragile ecosystem is set to be destroyed in pursuit of fossil fuel. The heavy equipment tracks in the tundra, polluting diesel engines at each drill site, and miles and miles of oil pipe, which has been demonstrated repeatedly to fail, will destroy the Reserve, which is America's last land-based protected area.

It's amazing how fragile democracy is. All it takes is one mad man to break it apart at the seams in less than three years.
