Midland/Odessa Police have a suspect in custody in shootings
BREAKING: Multiple people shot in Midland-Odessa area; suspect in custodyODESSA, Texas (KWTX) Police in Midland tell CBS 7 a shooting suspect is in custody after at least 30 people were shot in the Midland-Odessa area.
CBS News reports 10 people were shot in Midland and 20 people were shot in Odessa. Police in Midland said the suspect was arrested at the Cinergy, a movie theater near I-20.
Earlier Saturday, the Texas Department of Public Safety was urging the public to avoid I-20 in Odessa, Midland and Big Spring as authorities searched for two active shooters who shot several people, including a state police officer.
The City of Odessa is urging the public to stay inside their homes.
