That hurricane is nasty, but...

The area where my Mom used to live in Wisconsin, (Oconto county, just north and a little west of Green Bay) had an EF-1 tornado go through in mid-July.

A few of my Mom's former neighbors had some damage, one of them had 4 trees fall on their house, doing major damage.

It is just about all regional, those on the coasts get nailed by hurricanes and typhoons, while inland like us gets tornadoes.

I see those images from the Bahamas of houses and businesses destroyed, and every year I see towns with whole areas demolished by tornadoes.

(BTW, my Mom lives now in an assisted living place here in Sheboygan county, so I see her more often.)

This one is going to effect us.

The difference in my perspective, tornadoes give you 15 minutes if your lucky. We have known about this storm for a week and we are still 2-3 days from seeing it. Time to prepare, time to get out of harms way.
