Lawrence was off all last week......and Labor Day...and tonight he was gone again. Wish to hell I had his salary......all the days off.....and not struggling to live on social security. Yes I know he is usually not on on Fridays but this is ridiculous already. Joy is nice but she is not Lawrence. Guess it is time to switch to CNN when his time slot comes on. Sorry......I just had to rant.

(25,485 posts)Many of the A hosts take off the week where there is a holiday
a lot of time, they are working on other projects too...you can't equate this with a 9-5 type job..

(959 posts)don't you think then he deserves a vacation?
or, maybe he has something going on in his life?
He is a man, not a Demi-god. He deserves to have a personal life.

(22,022 posts)Lawrence has a contract just like everyone in television. It clearly states his obligations to and benefits from MSNBC.
Did you work every day? Truly, I'm empathetic to your struggle to survive on Social Security but your personal desire doesn't come into play!
Give the man a break. He's 67 years old and works pretty damn hard. He's one of the few journalists that call BS on the Trump presidency.
Besides, it's healthy to hear different points of view.
