This is heartbreaking: Freeport Ferry To FL-Announcement Bahamians w/o visa must now get off

Last edited Sun Sep 8, 2019, 10:20 PM - Edit history (2)

Big problems on the ferry from Freeport to Florida — announcement just made that any Bahamian without a visa must now get off. This is not normal. Nornally Bahamians can travel to USA with passport and a printout of their police record. This is a mess.

The policy folks (and their pres) are sadists.

This is the type of thing that can push someone over the edge. Many of them are probably still in shock.

It's a shame Frumpy doesn’t have a sharpie he can use to draft an executive order for these people.

Here's another important point:

Billions will be on the move in the coming century due to the worship of fossil fuel profit margins.

Most of those people probably have no papers at all, fleeing completely destroyed homes. How are they supposed to request a visa on a flooded island with no working electricity or communications to speak of? Dump’s administration are criminals of the worst kind.

If you normally have to have a visa and police record print out to get into the US from the Bahamas why does the tweet say that it isn't normal to have them removed from the boat if they don't have a visa?

History will remember us for this period as one where our nation passively accepted abandoning the last pretense of greatness, and the beginning of a deliberate, incomprehensible, and totally unnecessary turn in the direction of decline.
