The walrus getting fired should terrify us

Last edited Tue Sep 10, 2019, 02:01 PM - Edit history (3)

John Bolton has, for decades, been a Washington madman who never saw a country he didn't want to bomb out of existence. I won't enumerate his history of craziness here, but he is one of the scariest creatures in existence. Trump hired him, (knowing nothing about him), because he liked an appearance Bolton made on Fox "news."

So now that he's been kicked into Trump's graveyard of people who are useless to him, why should we be terrified? Because you just know that Trump's next choice for the position will be worse than Bolton.

How do you find someone worse than Bolton? Beats me. Caligula, Vlad the Impaler, Jack the Ripper and so many of their ilk are long gone. So whoever he finds to replace Bolton will probably be some sadistic psychotic who is beyond anything we can imagine.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Bolton likely tried to inject some semblance of reality, or facts, into the discussion. Little things like what and why the US Policy in Afghanistan is what it is. He even likely dared to explain Obama's actions there.

Basically, he dared to challenge Trump's ignorance.

Don't let his propaganda fool you, Trump has never seen a country filled with non white people that he didn't want to nuke.

Remember that in year 1 of the Trump Presidency more civilians were killed in Iraq and Syria by US bombs than in all 8 years of the Obama Presidency.

This was about having the Taliban to Camp David on the anniversary of 9/11, nothing more. Bolton and Trump were in lock step on their desire to bomb the hell out of half the countries on earth.

That sadistic piece of garbage (pardoned by Trump) is running to get his old job back. So he's available for Trump to tap as his next national security adviser/madman.

Arpaio's record of dealing with Mexican immigrants is something horrible enough to make Trump smile, and perhaps even giggle in joy. So my guess is that Arpaio is in the running for the job.

No thanks. I see too many posts on DU about how everyone should be
afraid, how Trump is an evil genius, and how the USA is doomed and
democracy is dead forever.
I refuse to buy into that. Of course I'm not happy with anything this
disaster of an administration has done. Many people have been and will be
harmed. But I'm not afraid. These idiots inspire disgust but not fear.
Stand and resist.
P.S.--Trump is evil, but not a genius about anything.

Tue Sep 10, 2019, 03:25 PM
Sep 2019

I knew who and what Trump was/is, and I knew that a dangerous psychotic was about to become pResident.

And I'll stick with that "be afraid, be very afraid" meme until the results of election night, 2020, tell us that we're through with him.

Nonetheless, the thing that frightens me is that there are two and a half months between election night and a new president being sworn in. And the orange maniac ordering a nuclear strike during that period, to distract us, is a thought that won't go away. (Hopefully, the powers that be at the Pentagon will ignore him.)

No one on this planet is safe until this madman is dragged away from the levers of power.

He should make a good appearance on fux'n'fiends and catch agent orange's eye.

I don't care if I spell that goon's name right. If he's lucky, there is an off-off-Broadway version of The Hunger Games looking for a replacement for Effie Trinket.

... of "transforming the Middle East," which included overthrowing Iran. The day Trump hired Bolton I said he would try to finish what they started under GW Bush by getting us into a war with Iran, & he sure tried. He also talked Trump into the "Space Force" idea that the PNAC proposed in 2000.

Now that Bolton is gone I believe the chance of war with Iran has been reduced.
